Youri Buyle obtained a B.A. and an M.A. in English language, history and literature of the English-speaking world from Sorbonne Université in Paris. During his third year of Bachelor’s, he was an exchange student in the United Kingdom at Royal Holloway, University of London. He then specialized in American history during his Research Master’s degree.After teaching English in France, Youri worked as a French Language Scholar at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he taught classes on French language and Francophone cultures. His research interests include foreign languages and postcolonial literature from the French-speaking world, in particular West Africa and the Caribbean.
