Lecturer
Jacqueline Dougherty completed her Ph.D. at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She specializes in contemporary French and Francophone literature. Her research interests include interdisciplinary approaches to teaching language and literature; text-image studies; socio-cultural alienation in literature; and autobiographical writing. She co-authored with Martine Antle the article entitled “Errance Identitaire de l’entre-deux chez Marguerite Duras et Annie Ernaux” Dr. Dougherty also serves as the editorial assistant for French Forum. She coordinates French 112 & French 121 and regularly teaches upper-level courses, including French 231, French 232.
